During my time with New Zealand's Department of Conservation, I was seconded to Eastern Institute of Technology (EIT) where I co-developed and project managed one of the region's most successful youth development and landscape skills training programmes - EIT Ruatoria's Ka Hao te Rangatahi.
Following the programmes first year, the attached case study, which documents my involvement in the project, was produced by First Chapter's Sandra Groves.
Ka Hao te Rangatahi still operates, and has inspired a number of other training initiatives in the region. Taiao Huru Huri continues to provide consultancy services to EIT.
